In last week’s blog post we focused on one of our recent projects at City College Norwich where we painted the new building on Broadland Drive for learners with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities.

No two jobs are the same within this industry and with every job we take on there is a different specification chosen by the client.

We understand the importance of using the best materials so have put together the specific paints we used for the successful City College project.

Materials used

As part of the project brief, we were required to use the following:

Crown Clean Extreme Durable Acrylic Eggshell: This is a water based paint which provides the commercial painting industry with a durable and long lasting product. It can withstand repetitive cleaning and has excellent stain resistant properties, making it the ideal paint for high traffic areas like a college. You can apply this paint by brush, roller or spray, leaving you with a mid-sheen finish which is is touch dry within 1-2 hours.

Crown Trade Satin Finish: This is a solvent-borne paint which is very easy to apply by brush. It is a tough and durable formulation, providing you with a washable satin finish for interior woodwork or metal. Although it takes slightly longer to be touch dry (6 hours) in comparison to the Acrylic Eggshell, this paint provides your surface with a professional finish.
